Connector | wood & metal
The project focuses on creating a strong connection between wood and metal without an additional linking element. Inspired by traditional wood joinery, a metal connector was developed that functions through insertion, bending, and geometric locking.

As part of the project, three pieces of furniture were designed to demonstrate the use of the connector in different forms: a coat rack, a coffee table, and a stool.

The connector is used technically, aesthetically and functionally in different doses in each of the objects. The combination of traditional work and contemporary technology is a leading design motif in the project, and it emphasizes the tension between technical and aesthetic characteristics.
